President and CEO
Dave Stark founded Analysis Team and has led the firm since 1995. Over the years he has designed and developed numerous analysis, reporting and planning solutions and has taught dozens of users and in-house administrators. Dave has presented on the topics of Business Intelligence, Enterprise Performance Management and related practices to various audiences in the US and internationally, at software user conferences and to professional groups.
Dave’s professional background includes substantial financial management experience in technology firms ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Immediately prior to starting Analysis Team, Dave was CFO of an early-stage Silicon Valley developer of navigation technology. He was FP&A Manager at Wyse Technology, following an early career foundation in accounting and financial analysis roles at technology giants IBM and Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC).
Dave holds a B.S. degree in finance and international business from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and has completed the executive education course Leading Professional Services Firms at Harvard Business School.
Doug has over 25 years of experience implementing business enterprise software solutions. His capabilities include requirements analysis, solution design using both relational and OLAP technologies, data integration, user interface development, project management, and training/mentoring. Doug is certified by Oracle as an Implementation Specialist in Essbase. His Essbase expertise includes solution design, data transformation and loading, calculation script development, automation of update processes, performance tuning and training. In addition Doug is an accomplished solution developer with Applied OLAP’s Dodeca. He is also proficient with Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and Windows command shell scripting. Doug has Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse project experience in the retail, entertainment, automotive, consumer product, financial services, restaurant and medical device industries.
Manager of Marketing and Administration
As the Manager of Marketing and Administration, Melanie brings to the role a strong background in business management and administration as well as experience with product development and building effective client relationships.
Prior to joining Analysis Team, Melanie worked in the insurance industry in various positions, primarily as a Professional Indemnity Underwriter and as a co-owner and manager of a national underwriting agency business. This leadership role provided a foundation in business management, establishing budget projections, building client relationships, administering national marketing initiatives as well as new product development. Melanie has earned a Diploma in Insurance studies as well as a Certification in Financial Services.
Melanie also has professional experience in the telecommunications, medical, corporate identity, software design and programming industries. Through each of these Melanie has customized policies and procedures to help streamline back office operations, increase staff productivity and strengthen overall business profitability.
Hanwen has over 10 years of experience in all phases of design, development and implementation of Oracle EPM applications. He has a proven track record of implementing highly integrated, low maintenance Hyperion solutions that meet complex business requirements. Hanwen is certified by Oracle as an Implementation Specialist in Hyperion Planning and Essbase. His technical expertise includes Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Data Relationship Management (DRM), Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS), Business Intelligence Cloud Service (BICS), data integration and data warehousing as well as process automation with batch shell scripting in Windows and UNIX environments. While previously working in the aerospace/defense industry, Hanwen received multiple awards for his technical skills and was a key member of a team recognized with Oracle’s Aerospace & Defense Industry Excellence Award in 2012. Hanwen holds an MBA in Finance.
